PEDIATRIC EYE EXAMS
It is important to remember that your child’s sight is rapidly changing. Because of these changes it is even more imperative for them to have yearly exams. A school screening is not a substitute for a comprehensive eye exam done by an optometrist. Three important factors of learning that are sight dependent are recognition, comprehension and retention. Remember that your child’s development is dependent on their eyesight!
LASIK CONSULTATION
Two of the most common eye surgeries available today are LASIK and cataract surgery. In LASIK surgery, lasers are used to reshape the eye to improve visual acuity. There are several factors that must be evaluated to determine a person’s eligibility for LASIK.
GLAUCOMA SCREENINGS & MANAGEMENT
Glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness in the world. Much of this blindness is preventable. Early detection is key and annual exams can catch the earliest signs of glaucoma.
CATARACT EVALUATION
Cataracts can be diagnosed in comprehensive eye exams. Once the doctor has determined that a patient has cataracts, then they will be able to prescribe a treatment. This treatment may or may not involve surgery. If surgery is needed then our office will refer the patient to a specialist and assist in post-surgery visits.
PRESCRIPTION SAFETY GLASSES
Eye health should be on your radar, especially if you work in an environment that requires you to wear safety glasses. Regular glasses are not replacements for protective eyewear—they are not built to withstand high impact work environments, nor do they cover enough area to keep your eyes safe from workplace hazards. At Clearly Eyecare, LLC, we can get you fitted with prescription safety glasses which will keep your eyes safe while working.
